New Year New Me

It’s very cliche to say “New Year, New Me” but in all honesty, that’s what I’m working towards.

I am about to get very personal here, but I am admitting my resolutions to you all. I play on working on myself to make myself better. Better, for me, better for Ryan and better for the world.

I fully believe that in order to love better, you need to love yourself, and that’s what I plan on doing.

My resolutions:

  • Work on my fitness, which will lead to me feeling better about myself and how I look and will lead to an x amount of pounds lost (Ok, so that’s my real goal…). I have a number in mind, but let’s just say I don’t want my driver’s license to lie anymore.
  • Channel my emotions into something productive. Instead of emotional eating, I will write a poem or add a few pages onto a screenplay or go to the gym, you know, kill two birds with one stone kind of thing.
  • I will take my writing more seriously. I am very bad at looking at to-do lists and adhering to schedules when I’m not forced to keep them. In other words, bills get in the way of writing for fun… But I will complete more screenplays and I will post here and to The Tipsy Dancer more consistently.
  • And most importantly, I will practice patience. I have been given an opportunity these past two months where I’ve needed to be patient and I am not proud of how I handled it thus far (that’ll be another post).

Above all, my resolution is to be a better person, girlfriend, daughter, friend, basically, I resolve to be a better me.

I’m very excited to see where 2020 takes me.
