The Royal Wedding

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting married! And while I am happy for them, I can’t help but be a bit jealous. I’ve already found my knight in shining armor and I am incredibly lucky to have him. But Meghan Markle is living almost every girl’s dream. She not only found the man of her dreams, but she’s actually going to be a princess. A real-life Cinderella story!

My mother always told me to strive for a man like the Royals. For some reason, she had a problem with William so she told me to try for Harry. She was obsessed with Princess Diana and the British Monarch. I personally just want to be the royal corgi handler (make they rest in peace). Yea, a prince would be nice, but have you seen a corgi? (Ryan, we’re getting a corgi)

Anyway, Harry’s current title is Prince Henry of Wales and if the Queen gives him a new title, Meghan’s title will be the feminine form of that, ie  Duke and Duchess of Sussex. This title is currently vacant so it’s a possibility. The Queen also has the power to make it so that Harry and Meghan’s future children will be princes or princesses, but as of now, they’ll just be lords or ladies. That’s really the extent of my knowledge of titles and royal lineage.

I am fully intending to view the wedding, pending my ability to wake up obscenely early. Bring on the gin!
